Our Construction Law & Development practice group is co-chaired by Alex Weiner and B. Christopher Lee. The practice group has in-depth knowledge of commercial construction practices, routinely representing owners, construction managers, developers, lenders, contractors, subcontractors, and other design professionals throughout the construction and development process. We take great pride in our drafting and negotiation of construction contracts and other development agreements that recognize the issues at hand and appropriately allocate the risks, liabilities and incentives involved in any development project. Our attorneys have considerable experience working with, but are not beholden to, various forms of development contracts, specifically including the contracts of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Our team includes skilled drafters with the ability to look past the cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all forms and develop appropriate contract documents that specifically address the needs, goals, and best interests of the client. Should issues arise, our experienced attorneys are actively involved with our Construction Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice group in all aspects of the analysis, prosecution, or defense of mechanic’s liens and other construction and development claims.
